About Betheny: Story and Spirit
Betheny Lynn Reid is an award-winning poet, essayist, and author of short fiction. She has published in The Sun magazine, The White Rocker, Big Bend Literary Magazine and numerous professional publications.
Her non-fiction writing has propelled her around the world in communications/marketing, public affairs
and higher education executive management.
Not wanting an Emily Dickinson-type obituary where her massive collection of novels, short fiction and poetry is found postmortem, Betheny is now focusing on her true love – listening to and writing the stories her “characters” ask her to share.
She is often found reading her poems during Inner Moonlight at the Wild Detectives Bookstore or sitting at the local coffee shop writing poems, essays, short fiction and novels. She hikes and travels as much of the world as she can possibly reach to meet people. She prefers to ride her bicycle anywhere and everywhere.
She lives with her husband and two cats and enjoys frequent visits from her son and his beloved.
She also publishes as B.L. Reid and Betheny L. Reid
